Why Protein is Important in our Life???

Protein:
Protein helps our body to build muscles and strong immune system. There are many types of protein that play different types of important role in our body. For example collagen is a protein and it gives the strength, elasticity and composition of our hair and skin. Some of the good protein sources are lentils, low-fat dairy products, nuts, seeds, peas. Protein plays a leading role in your body’s growth and maintenance.Because your body does not store excess protein, daily intake is necessary.Unfortunately, many protein sources-such as red meat, cheese, eggs and whole milk-also have high levels of fat and cholestrol.

How much protein a day?
Protein requirements are complicated because the amount we need changes with age.

  • Infants require about 10 grams a day.
  • Teenage boys need up to 52 grams a day.
  • Teenage girls need 46 grams a day.
  • Adult men need about 56 grams a day.
  • Adult women need about 46 grams a day.

One important exception is pregnant or lactating women, when the recommended intake rises to 71 grams of protein a day.

Today we are living in a busy world,no one able to manage a balanced diet .So here comes the importance of protein powder.

Why nutrilite protein powder is important?
Nutrilite protein powder is made from the best source of protein available which is soy.
Nutrilite protein powder has a high protein content (80%) mainly derived from vegetable/milk source. Moreover Nutilite protein powder contains 9 essential Amino acids which are the building blocks of the body. For a healthy life protein is necessary.A study showed that elderly people whose diets provided slightly less than the recommended amount of protein suffered less bone loss if they consumed an additional 20 grams of protein per day.A doctor can help people assess their protein intake.
That is why we have to take Nutrilite protein powder daily in our life. as we are in fast moving life it is very difficult for us to maintain our diet.

Is it OK to eat a lot more protein than the minimum recommendations?

This is the crucial question for people on diets that are higher in protein than usual, as low-carb diets tend to be. In a review of the research, the National Academy of Sciences reported that the only known danger from high-protein diets is for individuals with kidney disease. After careful study, they recommend that 10 percent to 35 percent of daily calories come from protein. They point out that increased protein could be helpful in treating obesity. There is also accumulating evidence that extra protein may help prevent osteoporosis.

Extra protein can be broken down into glucose in a process called gluconeogenesis. On low carb diets, this happens continually. One benefit of obtaining glucose from protein is that it is absorbed into the bloodstream very slowly, so it doesn’t cause a rapid blood sugar increase.
